DPI Seeking Lead GBV Expert for Kenya

The Collective Action to Reduce Gender-based Violence (CARE-GBV) is a USAID-funded Task Order designed to promote USAID’s “collective action” to strengthen and harmonize GBV programming throughout the Agency. One component of the project will be to strengthen GBV programming at USAID Missions and to capture lessons learned on the process. 

To this end, CARE-GBV will provide the USAID Mission in Kenya with demand-drive technical assistance to identify and operationalize their GBV goals. Technical support will be delivered through mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance provided through a team including CARE-GBV staff and local GBV experts for a period of up to 18 months.  

CARE-GBV is currently looking for a Kenyan national GBV expert to serve on the team. This position is pending Mission concurrence. The Lead GBV Expert will work closely with CARE-GBV staff and Mission focal points to identify the technical support needs of the Mission and to coordinate efforts to meet those needs. The Lead GBV Expert will be a point person for project support in Kenya and therefore will play a vital role in ensuring communication and close collaboration between CARE-GBV and the Mission, and local GBV consultants.

This position is open to Kenyan nationals and residents. Compensation will align with the USAID Kenya local compensation plan.
